Instructions to make Cowpea Curry:

  1. Soak cowpea for 3 to 4 hours..
  2. Pressure cook soaked cowpea for 2 whistles..
  3. Grind the ingredients to a smooth paste..
  4. Cut brinjal into long pieces..
  5. Heat kadai and add the ingredients to temper..
  6. Add brinjal pieces and fry it..
  7. Pour tamarind water and allow to cook..
  8. Add the pressure cooked cowpea..
  9. Added needed salt and mix well. Allow to boil for 1 minute. Now healthy and simple cowpea curry is ready to serve..
